Our OSS Funding Pledge

CodeCrafters is joining Sentry's Open Source Pledge initiative — alongside Antithesis, Railway, and other frontier devtool companies.

$4000 per engineer per year towards OSS projects

What's the pledge?

We're pledging to give over $12,000/yr annually towards OSS projects we love and depend on - that's $4000/yr for every full-time equivalent CodeCrafters engineer.

Currently we have 3 engineers, and have been giving €12,000/yr to CodeMirror.

Conclusion

CodeCrafters would not be anywhere without the generous work of all the maintainers and contributors to the various OSS we depend on.

In our case, doubly so, since our challenges are all about recreating OSS tools from scratch. As we grow our revenues and headcount, it's only fair we share our success with them.
